Stella Clevenger, founder and creator of Recrudescent Recycled Art, was born and raised in Montana and currently lives in Bozeman with her husband, son and daughter. Between her part-time job as a hairdresser and being Mom to two active teenagers, Stella enjoys creating these uniquely designed pieces of art. Each piece is made from thousands of
tiny shreds of old magazines, recycled
into beautiful, new art forms.
Ever since she was a young girl, Stella has been extremely interested in (and gifted at) repurposing all kinds of used and forgotten items -- “trash to treasure,” as she always says. Recycling magazines is only her latest foray into recycled art. Stella was inspired to experiment with magazines after observing a mosaic of recycled wallpaper in Las Vegas, a few years ago. Stella wants to encourage others to think about saving the environment in non-ordinary ways. As with other artists on the frontier of eco-art, Stella serves as a model to young artists to create “out of the box,” while at the same time improving the environment."Trash to Treasure..."
